CONSULT CPK LTD is seeking a motivated and well-organised Health & Safety Technician to support our Health & Safety Consultants in promoting safe working environments, through the JobStart Scheme. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop a career in health and safety, with full training provided. The Technician will assist in identifying risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture across various workplaces.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the assessment of workplace conditions, equipment, and operational practices.
• Assisting in verifying the safe and correct use of equipment.
• Helping compile technical reports based on observations and sample data.
• Contributing insights to improve safety policies and procedures.
• Ensuring office workstations are ergonomically safe and comfortable.
• Promoting a positive safety culture among clients and internal teams.
• Assisting in delivering safety training to employees and management.
• Identifying potential hazards and risks proactively.
• Supporting incident investigations and preparing detailed reports.
• Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and local safety regulations.
• Participating in safety audits to monitor and improve performance.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong desire to progress into a professional Health & Safety role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good grammar.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel across Northern Ireland and Ireland with consultants.
• Full driving licence required for future travel to client sites.
