IKEA Brighton are looking to welcome a Safety & Security Assistant to the new store team! In IKEA we call this a Unit Business Risk & Compliance Co-worker.

  1. The Start Date of employment will be: Week beginning 16th June 2025.
  2. Competitive hourly rate of £13.25 per hour.
  3. 39 Hours working 5 days per week including day shift, evenings and alternate weekends per month.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  1. Ability to ensure the integrity of safety and security systems, guidelines and documentation.
  2. Ability to plan effectively, influence others and follow up on changes implemented.
  3. An ability to work in a self-directive environment to resolve problems and to complete tasks within deadlines, an ability to work in a busy, high-stress environment.
  4. Ability to react to an emergency situation & be prepared to make decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  1. You meet and greet all persons entering the store and maintain visitor, contractors, customers and Co-worker access to and from the store.
  2. You monitor fire safety & security systems, respond to alarms and initiate emergency response without delay and support the Safety & Security function in store through monitoring and review of CCTV and other security infrastructure.
  3. You are responsible for the recording of incidents and accidents; maintaining the Incident Reporting System and assist with Loss Prevention and detection of offenders.
  4. You will carry out administrative tasks, including audits, reports, maintaining and filing records and support the stores daily operations.

  1. Criminal History

The training plan for each co-worker will include a period of training prior to the store opening where travel to another IKEA Store will be organised and fully covered by IKEA. This ensures that any travel will not create any personal expenses and we will create as much flexibility as possible to suit individual needs.
