Job description

Safety, Security and Systems Co-Ordinator, Edinburgh

Thales is seeking a highly motivated Safety, Security & Systems Coordinator to join our team at Edinburgh. In this role, you will ensure compliance with safety, security, and quality management systems while supporting depot operations.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining adherence to legislative requirements, managing risks, and fostering a culture of safety and security within the organisation. You will implement and manage safety and security practices in accordance with Major Hazard Facility (MHF) standards, conduct risk assessments, investigate breaches, manage contractor operations, and support environmental management plans.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Implement and manage safety and security practices in accordance with MHF standards
  2. Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures
  3. Investigate safety or security breaches and report findings
  4. Manage contractor operations, including inductions, work permits, and audits
  5. Maintain records for audits related to safety, security, and business services
  6. Support environmental management and ensure facilities meet contractual requirements

**Required Experience:**

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent
  • Ability to identify, assess risks, and deliver training programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, or related industries (desirable)

**Additional Information:**

This role is based on the Edinburgh RAAF base, on Kaurna land. Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible for a Defence security clearance. Pre-employment checks, including police and medical assessments, are required.
