A leading consultancy in the Southwest of England is seeking a passionate Safety & Risk Consultant to join their team. The successful candidate will lead projects focusing on flood and coastal management, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, while managing a dedicated team. Our client is looking for a passionate Safety & Risk Consultant to work within the Southwest of England. Becoming an essential member of their Safety & Risk Team, you will have the opportunity to assist a valued and longstanding client to deliver exciting and diverse flood and coastal projects. You will work as the technical lead for the region and resource a team who discharge the duties of principal designer and CDM advisor on a varied portfolio of schemes.
You will manage a team of Safety & Risk Consultants working across the Southwest region, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders within the client organisation, their Project Managers, the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Team, and external delivery partners.
Projects will range from feasibility studies through outline & detailed design and construction on site. It will be important to ensure designs consider buildability, sustainability, environmental, and health & safety requirements.
Candidates should ideally be a Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards it, with a relevant Diploma or Degree and demonstrable knowledge of CDM and its regulations. Experience managing a team with Project Design experience is advantageous, along with the ability to maintain strong client relationships.
A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
