Job Description:

Job Title: Safety Requirements Engineer

Location: BroadOak, Frimley, Filton, Weymouth or Devonport. We offer hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about options.

Salary: Negotiable – depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing safety requirements from whole boat to combat systems, including recording in DOORS
• Managing Requirements Decomposition (DSRs / 4SFRs / 5SFRs) after Safety Team analysis
• Delivering reports to Senior Engineering Manager regarding safety requirements
• Liaising with Subsystems, Safety Team, and Suppliers on Safety Requirements
• Supporting the Safety Team/Subsystems in conducting Gap Analyses between Formal Safety Requirements and those placed on suppliers

Your skills and experiences:

• Experience with DOORS
• Recent safety requirements management experience, including the V cycle (INCOSE systems engineering V diagram)
• Degree or equivalent experience in requirements management
• Defence contract experience
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of Safety FHAs, FTAs, PSSAs, and Safety Fault Schedules
