Job summary

Airbus Protect Limited in Filton is seeking a Safety & Reliability Engineer to support ATA28 (Fuel) and ATA32 (Landing Gear) safety activities. You will act as the safety focal point, coordinating with suppliers, performing safety analyses, and guiding system development to meet stringent requirements.

The role requires strong English communication, a engineering degree, and experience with DOORS. The position offers hybrid working in the UK, with scope across Airbus Protect projects and

• Good knowledge of Aircraft Systems.
• Experience managing requirements, including using DOORS, is desirable.

Responsibilities

Job Description:We are looking for a Safety & Reliability Engineer to join our Team, in Filton.The Role :With Airbus and Airbus PROTECT, support the development activities associated with the ATA28 (Fuel) and ATA32 (Landing Gear) systems, subsystems and equipment, including coordination with suppliers and flight tests.Support the Airbus ATA28 (Fuel) and ATA32 (Landing Gear) teams as the Safety focal point for Functional Safety activities.Generate and review Safety Assessment and Common Cause Analyses for Aircraft Systems (FHA, pSSA, SSA, PRA, Fault Trees, Quantitative and Qualitative Assessments).Work with other ATA28 and ATA32 Engineers and signatories along with interfaces such as Systems and Structures interfaces, Certification specialists, Chief Engineers, Procurement and Vendors.Support Airbus Commercial ATA28 and ATA32 System activities, including introducing new functionality to systems, ensuring robust cascade of requirements to the system, and supporting the development of the system to meet those requirements.Support phase reviews and Validation and Verification activities.
