Salary: 90-110k DOE

Seeking Safety Managers and Professionals for manufacturing companies in the Lancaster, York, Harrisburg, and Lebanon, PA areas. An opportunity is also available in the Millsboro, Delaware area.

Essential Functions of the Job:
  1. Lead the entire HSE function for their site (300-350 people).
  2. Implement a proactive safety process that engages all employees in safety practices.
  3. Develop a safety system that empowers leaders to take active roles in safety management.
  4. Deliver compliance and safety training with passion and effectiveness.
  5. Ensure all safety documentation is complete and well-organized.
  6. Spend over 50% of time on the floor where activities occur, not just in the office.
  7. Implement Behavior-Based Safety strategies in critical areas.
  8. Organize and oversee safety trainings, checklists, audits, and other safety activities on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  9. Investigate near misses and incidents, implement corrective actions, and communicate findings.
  10. Complete all required annual safety and environmental reports for government agencies.
  11. Participate as a key member of the leadership team.
  12. Lead and develop the safety committee, leadership personnel, and associates.
Desired Education/Qualities/Skills/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field from a reputable program.
  • Preferably hold or be in the process of obtaining CSP certification.
  • Demonstrated stability with previous employers; avoid job hoppers.
  • Passionate about safety and ensuring employees return home safely.
  • Charismatic personality with excellent communication skills to advocate safety initiatives.
