The Aviation Safety Management team seeks to proactively mitigate safety risks before they result in aviation accidents and incidents. Although seats are rarely the cause of aircraft accidents, they play a critical role in survivability and the severity outcome of aircraft accidents and incidents. Negative publicity from poor safety performance can also significantly impact business viability.
The Safety Management System (SMS) Officer & Reporting Manager at SGB will:
The role supports the implementation of ICAO Annex 19 requirements across Safran Seats and Safran Seats GB, especially in Design, Production, and Maintenance regulations. The role involves supporting the SST SMS Safety Manager and/or the Compliance Monitoring & Safety Manager, ensuring process compliance, sharing best practices, and implementing SMS training for management, engineering, technicians, and workforce.
