Job summary

SBD Apparel Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Health, Safety & Maintenance Manager to lead H&S, machinery maintenance and facilities across the business, working with senior leadership to shape strategy and improve reliability.

You will own safety culture, risk assessments, audits and KPI reporting, while managing contractors and ensuring compliance with RAMS, PPE and site safety requirements. The role offers a competitive salary and clear progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience leading machinery maintenance, asset management, PPM/TPM or reliability programmes.
• Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and HSE guidance.
• Experience developing and using H&S, facilities or maintenance KPIs and performance reporting.
• Confident using digital systems to manage compliance, actions, maintenance and performance data.

Responsibilities

• Lead H&S strategy, policies and standards in line with UK legislation and best practice.
• Own facilities and machinery maintenance to ensure safety, compliance and reliability.
• Develop and improve PPM/TPM practices to maximise equipment reliability.
• Lead continuous improvement across H&S, facilities and maintenance.
• Provide clear reporting to Senior Leadership on performance and risks.
