Job Description:

• Nationwide travel
• About the role
• Responsible for delivering the health, safety, and environmental risk strategy set by the Head of Safety & Risk.
• Implementing ISO-certified safety and environmental management systems.
• Acting as Subject Matter Expert for Smiths News on health and safety, environmental risk, and safety culture, including road transport and operational yard safety at Smiths News and third-party locations.
• Managing company health and safety policies, training, and audits to ensure appropriate arrangements are in place.
• Delivering Human Factors and Safety Culture Awareness programs to promote positive safety behaviors and culture.
• Building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders interested in safety and legal compliance, such as HSE, DVSA, Local Authorities, and trade bodies.
• Investigating incidents and accidents with trained colleagues, escalating severity as needed, and liaising with emergency services and media.

• Nebosh Level 3 or equivalent qualification

• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to influence senior stakeholders
• A valid UK driving license (company car may be provided)
