Job Description
SHEQ Manager with 5-10 years of experience working with switchgear, electronics, or electrical components manufacturing (railway exposure is a plus) will be responsible for all day-to-day compliance matters, supporting the strategic development and progression of the business.
Quality:
- Fully responsible for the Quality Management System, including:
- Key contact for all quality issues.
- Responsible for finished product inspection and testing, ensuring compliance with company and customer expectations.
- Maintain quality standards and requirements.
- Lead regular focused Quality Meetings.
- Manage PPAPs and calibration as required.
- Plan, manage, and support audits: internal, supplier, customer, and external standards such as ISO9001, RISQS, Achilles.
- Raise and manage NCRs or G8Ds for quality failures.
- Handle quality concessions when appropriate.
- Complete and submit customer quality documents and questionnaires accurately.
- Analyze customer feedback and implement improvement plans.
- Develop and maintain quality improvement projects and processes.
Health, Safety & Environment:
- Work towards ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditation.
- Implement and manage health and safety policies daily.
- Record, report, and investigate accidents, incidents, and hazards, taking corrective actions.
- Advise senior management on relevant legislative and standards updates.
- Review client and company standards for compliance.
- Hold regular meetings to discuss issues, progress, and actions.
- Encourage staff to report hazards and near misses; investigate and control risks.
- Manage COSHH and conduct risk assessments to minimize risks.
General:
- Report monthly KPIs related to the department.
- Report departmental targets, objectives, and forecasts.
- Contribute to daily business management and strategic planning.
