Overview

This role is responsible for promoting compliance with all relevant Safety, Health, and Environmental legislation, policies, and procedures. It will play a key part in driving continuous improvement and fostering a positive shift in safety culture across the business, while maintaining a practical, business-focused approach. The role will also provide targeted support to specific departments across different areas of the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Support and drive the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) strategy across the campus, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation (e.g. COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, fire safety).
  • Manage SHE incidents and investigations, ensuring timely and effective close-out, and contribute to continuous improvement of SHE procedures and processes.
  • Lead and support risk assessments and control implementations for new projects, equipment, and activities, including complex duty of care reporting and machinery safety compliance.
  • Maintain ISO14001 certification, supporting audits and ensuring the scope evolves with campus growth.
  • Coordinate and deliver SHE training, toolbox talks, and ensure SHE tools, assessments, and contractor procedures are effectively used and monitored.
  • Drive ongoing, SHE performance improvements, using data, incident analysis, and key metrics to support risk reduction and enhance safety culture.
Main competencies
  • Holds relevant qualifications in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) management.
  • Brings industry experience from motorsport, F1, or automotive environments.
  • Demonstrates strong organisational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SHE management systems/software.
