Job summary

Bayer in Reading (Hybrid) seeks an Associate Safety Epidemiology Expert to support Consumer Health safety decisions. You will evaluate complex safety questions and translate evidence into actionable recommendations, working with Safety, Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Toxicology teams.

This role focuses on epidemiology, Real-World Evidence and signal management to influence benefit-risk decisions for OTC, vitamins, cosmetics and devices worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology, Public Health or related field.
• Experience applying epidemiology or real-world evidence in safety/pharmacovigilance.
• Strong understanding of study design, RWE and signal management.

Responsibilities

• Lead epidemiological evaluations of emerging safety signals and safety queries.
• Assess evidence from spontaneous reports, literature, studies and databases.
• Evaluate strength and limitations of evidence for risk characterization.
• Provide clear conclusions and recommendations for safety decisions.
• Contribute to safety deliverables including risk management plans and regulatory submissions.
