Safety Engineering Opportunities - Submarines

Join Rolls-Royce as a Safety Engineer within our submarine nuclear propulsion systems division. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Derby or Glasgow, with hybrid working options available.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct probabilistic safety assessments
  • Develop and review nuclear safety cases
  • Apply human factors principles
  • Ensure safety and reliability standards are met
  • Maintain safety coherency and containment measures
  • Assess criticality and consequence analyses

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in safety engineering disciplines such as nuclear safety, human factors, safety & reliability, containment, criticality, or consequence analysis
  • Background in industries like civil nuclear, oil & gas, chemical processing, or rail is desirable
  • Degree in engineering or scientific discipline preferred
  • UK nationality and ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance without caveats
