Job Description
Job title: Safety Critical Software Principal Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive
Location: Bristol - Hybrid available
Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Experience as a technical leader
- A degree level qualification in computer science, mathematics, science or engineering
- Chartership status or working towards it
- Knowledge of design, development and testing of embedded software
- Experience applying standards in safety or mission-critical industries (IECs, DEF-STANs)
- Experience of the development and testing of software, logic devices and complex electronic hardware systems
Role information:
- Lead safety-critical software engineering teams
- Advise on how to develop safety-critical software and programmable systems to ensure they meet standards
- Define and execute delivery plans
- Ensure time, cost and quality meet preset requirements
- Mentor junior team members
- Liaise with sales teams to support bidding for new projects
