Job summary

Profectus Recruitment is seeking a Safety-Critical Embedded Software Engineer to develop safety-critical embedded and real-time software for autonomous and mission-critical applications. You will contribute to runtime assurance, safety monitoring and fail-safe functions within a regulated engineering environment.

The role involves collaboration with systems, verification and safety engineers, supporting verification, validation and certification activities, and producing certification evidence

Qualifications

• Strong embedded software engineer with safety-critical or real-time experience.
• Experience with safety-critical development processes.
• Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical embedded and real-time software.
• Design software for runtime assurance, safety monitoring and fail-safe functions.
• Contribute to autonomous flight and mission-critical systems.
• Support verification, validation and certification activities.
• Produce software documentation and certification evidence.
• Work within safety-critical development processes, collaborating with systems and safety engineers.
