Job Description

We're recruiting for a Head of Health and Safety to join us.

This role involves developing, overseeing, managing, and supporting all areas of our management and compliance systems to ensure a safe working environment for staff, stakeholders, and customers. You will also oversee and manage compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety relevant to LGAH businesses acting as employer, landlord, and developer.

What you'll be doing:
  1. Leading, coordinating, and managing ongoing compliance with ISO45001 across the businesses.
  2. Leading health and safety assurance activities, including implementing the Landlord Assurance model and CDM site safety assurance.
  3. Acting as the responsible person for safety and compliance, including incident investigation and reporting.
  4. Overseeing procurement and supplier relationships for specialists providing competent person, fire safety, and other services.
  5. Supporting certification processes for other quality standards and managing standard compliance.
  6. Ensuring policies related to health and safety and compliance are up to date and reviewed regularly.
  7. Developing, managing, and reporting safety and compliance performance metrics.
  8. Supporting the management of safety and compliance risks.
  9. Collaborating with business teams to embed safety and compliance in end-to-end processes.
Qualifications

  • Experience managing ISO quality standards.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant environment.
  • Experience working in evolving environments with collaboration and process development.
  • Experience working with HSE and other regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in residential property.
  • Background in health, safety, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of legislation affecting affordable housing.
  • Strong technical expertise in regulatory standards.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and investigations.
