Job summary

Viridor Energy Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Safety & Compliance Manager to lead the management and monitoring of health & safety systems, ensuring compliance with environmental permits and corporate policies. You will oversee risk assessments, SSOW, and safe working practices at the ERF site, reporting to the Plant Manager and collaborating with the site team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on safety professional with structured industrial experience.
• Experience in energy-from-waste facility environments preferred.
• Experience in highly regulated, compliance-focused settings.
• Knowledge of ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001 and ISO50001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor Health & Safety systems, procedures and safe systems of work at site level.
• Maintain compliance with Viridor management systems and environmental permits or licenses.
• Actively monitor, maintain and manage risk assessments, SSOW and method statements to prevent incidents.
