Job description

One of the leading companies in the nuclear sector is looking to bring in a Safety Case Engineer to join the growing team working on vast projects in the nuclear space. This is one of the best and well known projects and companies in the sector.

Role type: Permanent
Location: Warrington, Bristol, Leicester, Glasgow or Newbury
Salary: £60,000 to £80,000 depending on experience

About the role

Our client is looking for several Principal Safety Case Engineers to join their nuclear projects. With flexible and remote working options, they are open to candidates from across the UK.

You will be responsible for ensuring that engineering works are safe and secure by creating specialist plans and reviews. You will examine engineering activities and manage the delivery of the necessary safety aspects. This role offers the chance to work on multiple projects with varied responsibilities.

The role requires Security Clearance, so you must be a UK citizen with a British Passport.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Produce and design technical and general safety reports
  2. Create hazard management strategies
  3. Mentor junior staff
  4. Author safety assessments in radiological work and hazard management
  5. Participate in HAZID/HAZOP sessions
  6. Manage the delivery of work undertaken by the supply chain
Experience and requirements:
  1. Engineering degree (Chartered status is desirable)
  2. Experience working with multiple teams
  3. EPC experience (desirable)
  4. 8+ years of relevant experience
