One of the leading companies in the nuclear sector is looking to recruit a Safety Case Engineer to join their growing team working on significant projects in the nuclear industry. This is a well-known and reputable project within the sector.

Role Type: Permanent

Location: Edinburgh (or remote)

Salary: £50,000 to £80,000 depending on experience

They are seeking several Safety Case Engineers for their nuclear projects, with flexible and remote working options available across the UK. Positions range from Senior to Principal levels.

You will be responsible for ensuring engineering works are safe and secure by creating specialist plans and reviews. Your role will involve examining engineering activities and managing the safety aspects required for them.

The role requires Security Clearance, so applicants must be UK citizens with a British Passport.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and design technical and general safety reports
• Develop hazard management strategies
• Author safety assessments in radiological work and hazard management
• Participate in HAZID/HAZOP studies
• Oversee safety strategies being delivered for the Safety Case
• Serve as a Company Technical Representative
• Manage delivery of work undertaken by the supply chain

Experience and Requirements:

• Engineering Degree in Engineering
• Chartered Engineer
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience working with multiple teams
• Experience with EPC (Desirable)
• Membership in an Engineering Institute (Desirable)
