To prepare and process different forms of evidential offence media and images generated from SSRP and RPU.

To respond to all forms of correspondence on a daily basis and be the first point of contact from the public, SSRP, Sussex Police officers, Magistrates Court / Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and other external agencies for technical, legislative and general enquiries. Ensure that any disclosure is within the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998. To make decisions on a daily basis, dealing with mitigation, complaints from members of the public, both verbally and written, taking into consideration time frames, evidence, legislation, public interest and various forms of emergencies and/or exemptions.

To liaise closely with Safety Camera Enquiry Officers, Case Workers, Case Directors, Camera Technicians, Force colleagues and course providers on a daily basis regarding offenders and offences. To prepare large quantities of court files, including statements on behalf of Camera Technicians, RPU and Divisional Officers for all Road Traffic and Public Order offences, ensuring all evidence is contained in readiness for prosecution. To provide additional administrative support to Operations Department, Camera Technicians, RPU and Divisional Officers during road policing safety initiatives, both national and international campaigns e.g. European Traffic Police Network (TISPOL).

To attend court when required and give concise, factual evidence on behalf of SSRP and Sussex Police.
