Job summary

NATS is recruiting a Safety & Assurance professional to deliver safety and assurance activities for changes into service. You will ensure compliance with the NATS Safety Policy and provide confidence that changes can be operated safely.

You will work with Systems/Software Assurance, Human Factors and Cyber Security, lead workshops with SMEs, and ensure safety and continuity requirements are met for major changes across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM or assurance discipline or equivalent experience in safety-related systems and services.
• Experience in safety, security, business continuity, human factors, or safety-related software development.
• Knowledge of safety management principles and safety management systems.
• Ability to develop and justify assurance arguments for change with evidence.
• Experience with safety and assurance tools and methods (e.g. hazard analysis, risk assessment).
• Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Generate and prepare Safety & Assurance plans and collate evidence for Change Assurance documentation.
• Lead workshops with SMEs to identify safety hazards and derive requirements.
• Ensure assurance activities comply with Safety Management Systems and best practices.
• Provide assurance support to managers and leaders to influence design and changes.
• Manage and develop assurance team members and oversee allocated work packages.
• Engage with external stakeholders such as CAA/EASA RAF as required.
