Job summary

Shropshire Fire and Rescue in Shrewsbury is seeking an experienced Safety and Risk Manager to lead our health and safety function and oversee organisational risk management and business continuity.

You will hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and be a Chartered IOSH member (or working toward chartered status), providing expert advice, assurance and continuous improvement to strengthen resilience, compliance and a positive risk culture.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent required for professional practice.
• Chartered IOSH status or working towards it is preferred.
• Experience advising on health and safety and risk management.

• Lead health and safety function across the Service.

The Safety and Risk Manager will lead and coordinate the Service's health and safety, organisational risk and business continuity arrangements, ensuring legal compliance, effective assurance and continuous improvement.
