Responsibilities

• Supporter et auditer la performance santé et sécurité des managers locaux.
• Investigation des incidents et rapport des résultats à la direction.
• Formation efficace en santé et sécurité au personnel.
• Conduction d'inspections de site et évaluation des risques.
• Coordonner les mesures de sécurité incendie et la planification d'urgence.
• Gérer les coordinateurs et assessors santé et sécurité.

Job description

A client within the Public Sector based in Rugby is currently recruiting for a Senior Safety & Resilience Officer to join their Safety and Resilience team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a health and safety/resilience environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to drive behavioural change to ensure excellence in health, safety and welfare of employees and provide assurance to SMT of health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Support and audit local managers’ health and safety performance, ensuring issues are addressed.
• Investigate incidents, analyse data, and report findings to senior management.
• Deliver competent and effective health and safety training to staff.
• Conduct site inspections and support risk assessment work.
• Coordinate fire safety measures and emergency planning.
• Manage Health and Safety Coordinators, DSE assessors, Fire Marshals, and First Aiders.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• Evidence of CPD in health and safety.
• Experience in managing health and safety within a local authority or similar environment.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Strong communication and training delivery skills.
• Knowledge of emergency planning and business continuity frameworks.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders including staff, unions, and enforcement authorities.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £24 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £20 per hour PAYE).
