Job summary

* Support the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) process, ensuring incidents are properly reported, investigated, with learning disseminated and actioned according to hospital protocols.* Work closely with the clinical teams to identify opportunities for improving patient safety, providing necessary administrative support for improvement actions.
Main duties of the job

The Safety and Compliance Officer will provide high-quality support to the Clinical Governance Team, working closely with the Patient Safety Manager to undertake a variety of key administrative and support functions. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced officer with strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of essential IT systems (such as Excel, Power point and Word), and an ability to prioritise a diverse workload. Additionally, the role will contribute to the development of actions that address patient safety risks and improve care outcomes, working closely with clinical teams to track and evidence the actions taken and the impact of these improvements. The Safety and Compliance Officer will have a solid understanding of the pillars of clinical governance, with a focus on Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).

We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Safety and Compliance Officer to join our Clinical Governance team at The London Clinic, in Marylebone. This is an important role supporting patient safety and regulatory compliance across the hospital, helping us uphold high standards of care. About us Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest independently owned non-profit hospital, with state-of-the-art facilities located on Harley Street. We have circa 1200 employees, a total of 8 premises, and we are dedicated to providing the best, personalised healthcare with a breadth of surgical and medical expertise. Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 234 beds and 10 theatres. Other premises include, The Duchess of Devonshire Wing (Cancer Centre), The London Clinic Eye Centre and 4 premises providing consulting room suites and diagnostic services. About the role You'll work closely with the Patient Safety Manager to support the administration and coordination of key safety and compliance processes. This includes supporting incident investigations, communicating safety messages, tracking improvement actions, and maintaining our internal reporting systems. The role offers real variety and the chance to work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams, contributing to meaningful improvements in patient outcomes.
