Job summary

A major recruitment agency is seeking a competent Safety Advisor for a freelance role, based in Warwickshire. You will assist the Health and Safety Lead in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will have a NEBOSH certificate and significant experience in construction or civil engineering.

  • Experience within the Construction or civil engineering industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of the risk assessment process.
  • Able to interact well with others.

About the Project:

A major UK infrastructure project requires a competent Safety Advisor to join the Team.

About the Role:

You will assist the Health and Safety Lead with the day to day management of the department. You will provide support and advice to the operational teams on all aspects of health, safety and environmental management, developing health, safety and environmental documentation, meeting legal and company standards and helping deliver a safety culture of continual improvement and delivering the highest standards.

Suitable Experience Required for the Role:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
  • Relevant CSCS Car
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations and guidance
  • Experience within the Construction and / or civil engineering industry
  • A detailed knowledge of the risk assessment process
  • Good computer skills; knowledge of the latest editions of Microsoft Office software and other company and discipline specific software applications
  • Team player and able to interact well with others
