Education Phase: Secondary

Working Pattern: Full-Time

About Our Client

Their Brighton Schools:

Our Client’s Adult Learning

As a Trust, their education opportunities don’t stop at the age of 18 because they recognise that some people leave school without the qualifications they want and need and others want to continue training, retrain or enjoy learning a range of subjects. They also offer apprenticeships in teaching support, and they plan to expand their apprenticeship offer to further train young people and adults with the high quality vocational and technical skills their services within the Trust and employers in the communities they serve need. They are passionate about adult education for all, and particularly the most vulnerable and hard to engage. They believe the opportunity to take control of your career options or to enjoy ongoing learning should continue throughout adulthood and they are committed to supporting their local communities in this mission.

Our Client’s Community Academy in Brighton

This Community Academy opened in September 2010, and a year later moved into its brand-new building, equipped with new sports, entrepreneurship and IT facilities, and a dedicated sixth form area. They are in the unique position of having two higher-education establishments, Sussex and Brighton Universities, in its immediate proximity. This enables the academy to work closely with them, share their expertise, access their resources, and give students a taste of Higher Education.

Our Client’s Community Academy in Portslade

This Community Academy is a successful, forward-thinking Academy, which maintains high expectations of both staff and students. They are a state funded Academy, and they are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Our Client’s Academy in London

This Academy has been part of our client’s family of schools since 2017 when it chose to join the Trust. The school is at the heart of its community and situated right next door to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and nearby to White Hart Lane station. As an inner-city London school, it experiences the ebb and flow of city life, and no two days are the same. It serves a diverse community of many nations and makes good provision for those needing to learn English or using English as a second or third language.

They are a vibrant, lively 11-16 co-educational school that serves its community well. It shares its extensive site with a local community special school. They have close links with the nearby London Academy of Excellence Tottenham, sponsored by Tottenham Hotspur Football Club - an academically selective co-educational 16-19 provision. It also has strong partnerships with Linklaters, a multinational law firm based in London.
