Job summary

Hampshire County Council in Winchester is seeking a Team Manager for the Adults’ Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). You will lead safeguarding responses, manage a team, and coordinate with police and health services to deliver prompt, person-centred outcomes.

The role requires social work registration, extensive safeguarding experience and strong leadership. Excellent communication and strategic planning are essential to maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and SWE registration are required.
• Extensive experience managing complex safeguarding cases and supervising others.
• Strong leadership to influence, motivate and manage teams.
• Deep knowledge of local and national safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Excellent problem solving and risk assessment capabilities.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Good organisational skills and resilience to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated commitment to compassionate, respectful practice and values.

Responsibilities

• Provide line management to the MASH team, oversee workloads and performance.
• Ensure high quality safeguarding interventions and professional development.
• Make key decisions on escalations and complaints and drive outcomes.
• Engage in strategic planning to improve service delivery in a changing environment.
• Manage complex multi-agency work and negotiate with partner agencies.
