Job summary

All Saints Catholic College in Huddersfield is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Support role to work with the Safeguarding Manager and staff to deliver outcomes for students through integrated support and services.

You will work collaboratively with students and families, require literacy and numeracy skills, and have experience with children in a school setting and supporting emotional and social needs, including mental health.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a school environment.
• Appropriate literacy and numeracy skills to support students.
• Experience of supporting students and families with emotional and social needs including mental health.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outcomes for students through integrated support and services.
• Collaborate with safeguarding manager, safeguarding support officer, college staff, and external agencies.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff while upholding safeguarding standards.

Job description

The successful candidate will work in partnership with the existing Safeguarding Manager, Safeguarding Support Officer, the College and other key agency staff to deliver key outcomes for students through a range of integrated support and services.

You will need to be able to work collaboratively and flexibly and build good relationships with both students and staff, demonstrating a respectful and caring attitude towards everyone in school. Experience of working with children in a school environment and having the appropriate literacy and numeracy skills to support students are essential. Experience of supporting students and families with emotional and social needs including mental health is also critical.

The role is for 37 hours per week, term time only plus 1 day at the start of every September for staff training. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our College. In turn, we are looking for a candidate committed to playing a part in transforming the lives of our young people.
