Job summary

Rosebrook Primary School, part of Ad Astra Academy Trust, seeks a Safeguarding and Inclusion Officer (Band 10) to support safeguarding, attendance, and family engagement. Job description

Safeguarding and Inclusion Officer (Band 10) Spinal Column Points 23 – 26, £31,515.99 – £34,120.92 per annum, 37 hours per week, term time only, plus 10 Days (200 days per year). This is a permanent post. Applications are also welcomed from candidates who would wish to work on a part-time basis.

The school wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Safeguarding and Inclusion Officer. This position would be to commence as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will work together with the senior school leaders to support and work with children and their families, including those who are most vulnerable. These responsibilities will include safeguarding/child protection, attendance and building engagement with families within the local community.

The successful candidate will assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Headteacher in taking a lead on safeguarding and child protection across the school (acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead), coordinating referrals, arranging action and reviewing provision for children and families. This post will also act at the Mental Health Lead.

Candidates should be suitably qualified and have experience of safeguarding / child protection issues and procedures. They will also have experience of working together with multi agencies to support the needs of the individual or group of young people and be able to meet the criteria detailed on the person specification.
