Job summary

Tapestry Learning Partnership is seeking a compassionate Child Protection Officer to lead safeguarding across City of Derby Academy and the Trust. You will work with school leaders to strengthen safeguarding practice, systems, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Experience in multi-agency working and record-keeping best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key member of the safeguarding team
• Identify, assess, and respond to safeguarding and welfare concerns
• Manage and support complex and sensitive safeguarding cases
• Work closely with families, external agencies, and professionals
• Ensure all safeguarding concerns are recorded, tracked, and acted upon
