Salary: £14.79
MAIN PURPOSE:
To undertake the administrative arrangements around setting up child protection conferences
To minute child protection strategy meetings and child protection conferences as required. To type and distribute the minutes of those meetings.
Assist in maintaining the child protection register.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • To organise child protection case conferences and reviews on Looked After Children following instructions from social workers.
  • To make administrative arrangements for the location of the conference or after review and ensure that all interested parties are invited on a mutually convenient date.
  • To minute child protection strategy meetings and conferences, taking direction from the Chair.
  • To type/word process the minutes and on approval from the Chair, disseminate to the participants in line with Area Child Protection Committee procedures.
  • Keep records of future conferences and other information as required.
  • To cover the work of the other Quality Assurance Unit administrators as directed by the Quality Assurance Administrative Manager for two colleague administrators who also have responsibility for child protection matters.
  • To attend and minute Area Child Protection Committee and sub committee meetings when appropriate and agreed with the line manager.
  • To assist in maintaining the Child Protection Register.
  • To provide statistical information pertaining to the Child Protection Register for management and other agencies, as required. To maintain the Child Protection Filing System.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department / Section.
