The NSPCC Sport team is seeking an experienced safeguarding professional to support audits and assessments across sport, helping organisations enhance safeguarding practices for children and young people.
You will work with Senior Auditors to gather evidence, interview stakeholders, and draft clear, evidence-based findings that contribute to safer sporting environments across England and Wales. Regular travel is involved to undertake on-site audits.
At the NSPCC, we are committed to preventing child abuse and ensuring every child can grow up safe and supported.
As part of the NSPCC Sport team, you'll help strengthen safeguarding standards across sport by contributing to a range of safeguarding audit and assurance programmes. Working alongside experienced Senior Auditors, you will support audits and assessments across a variety of sporting environments, helping organisations understand what's working well, where improvements are needed, and how they can create safer experiences for children and young people.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional who enjoys analysing information, engaging with people, and understanding how safeguarding works in practice. You'll work across a range of settings and organisations, contributing to meaningful improvements that help keep children safe in and through sport.
We're looking for someone with a strong safeguarding background who is curious, analytical and committed to helping organisations improve outcomes for children and young people.
Experience of safeguarding within sport would be advantageous, but we welcome applications from candidates who have developed safeguarding expertise in other sectors and can demonstrate how their experience would transfer to this role.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop specialist safeguarding audit and assurance experience within a nationally recognised safeguarding organisation.
You'll work alongside experienced colleagues on significant safeguarding programmes, gain insight into a diverse range of organisations and settings, and play an important role in helping to improve safeguarding practice across sport.
This role involves regular travel, including overnight stays, across England and Wales to undertake on-site audits and assessments.
