Job Opportunity: Lead in Safeguarding Adult / Mental Capacity Act Team

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered health or social care professional to join our NHS Trust as a Lead in the Safeguarding Adult / Mental Capacity Act Team.

The role involves collaborating with various health and social care colleagues on all aspects of adult safeguarding and legal duties under the Mental Capacity Act. You will work closely with our Integrated Service Units to maintain and develop safeguarding systems and processes, support workforce education, and ensure effective responses to safeguarding concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead in embedding safeguarding systems and processes within TSDFT regulatory services to protect adults from abuse and neglect.
  2. Ensure consistent and effective operational responses to safeguarding concerns within regulatory settings and that staff understand their roles in safeguarding.
  3. Implement and embed legal frameworks of the Mental Capacity Act into clinical practice, including deprivation of liberty and liberty protection safeguards.
  4. Utilize monitoring tools to analyze the effectiveness of safeguarding systems and implement improvements as needed.
  5. Maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders to support safeguarding and mental capacity activities.

The team comprises multidisciplinary professionals including Social Workers, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, and Administrators, all committed to protecting individuals' human rights and preventing abuse and neglect.
