Job description

Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Team Leader to join the Safe Staffing and Bed Capacity team based at Wonford House in Exeter.

We are seeking a Clinical Team Leader who is passionate about caring and committed to delivering the highest quality of care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate commitment, innovation, and a positive attitude, with the ability to engage service users and carers in all aspects of their care. Main duties of the job
  1. Support the management and expenditure of all temporary staffing throughout the Trust, including bank and agency staffing, excluding Medical Staffing.
  2. Collaborate with senior clinicians and managers to identify resource needs, establish timescales, and review establishment.
  3. Support the bed management process across all adult and older persons inpatient units, including Out of Area beds when necessary.
  4. Ensure compliance with national requirements, internal governance, and improvement plans.
  5. Act as deputy in the absence of the Corporate Services Manager.
  6. Perform the role of clinical in-reach for patients placed in Devon beds outside their locality without an allocated recovery coordinator, until one is assigned or the patient is discharged.
  7. Ensure robust support for all patients placed out of area or locality, including their carers and families.
  8. Assist in the movement and transfer of patients to appropriate localities.
  9. Support and facilitate the discharge of patients within other localities to their areas of residence.
  10. Provide supervision and guidance to Band 6 repatriation officers.
