Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK seeks a Band 5 Registered Nurse for the Weston Oncology & Haematology Day Unit, working 16 hours per week. The ideal candidate will manage outpatient systemic anti-cancer therapies and require skills in chemotherapy administration, cannulation, and venepuncture. Qualifications

  • Registered nurse with an interest in oncology & haematology nursing.
  • Experience in the administration of chemotherapy, cannulation and venepuncture.
  • Completion of the UKONS SACT passport desirable but not essential.

Band 5 Weston Oncology & Haematology Day Unit Registered Nurse (16 hours per week)

Responsibilities

Manage outpatient systemic anti‑cancer therapies (SACT) in accordance with NHS England and Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon & Gloucester (SWAG) cancer network and Trust policies.

  • Competent to manage vascular access devices: Peripheral cannula / PICC / PORT
Qualifications
  • Registered nurse with an interest in oncology & haematology nursing.
  • Experience in the administration of chemotherapy, cannulation and venepuncture.
  • Completion of the UKONS SACT passport desirable but not essential.
  • Support and guidance with a supervised learning package in the administration of chemotherapy will be given if required.
