Job description

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of our friendly team.

You will need expert knowledge to support patients with their cancer diagnosis and support them whilst undergoing systemic anti-cancer treatments. Successful candidates will work and act as role models for professional practice at all times and deliver high standards of care to patients, their families, and carers.

Provide expert nursing advice and support to other health professionals.

Support in the development of junior staff and work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team.

Our amazing team is looking for nurses with passion and drive who are committed to maintaining and improving care for patients and their families undergoing chemotherapy/SACT.

Primarily, your role will be to deliver excellent holistic nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy/SACT and supportive care.

The unit provides care for patients receiving outpatient chemotherapy for oncological/haematological malignancies. The nursing staff in this nurse-led unit are experts in providing high-quality care, undertaking patient assessments, symptom control, management of treatment/disease complications, and giving expert advice to all our patients and other health professionals.

Support the delivery of the outpatient chemotherapy service by providing comprehensive nursing support for patients undergoing systemic anti-cancer (SACT) treatments and supporting care aligned with the broad aims of improving outcomes and service delivery.
