Job summary

Thames Water Ltd is seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud Developer to join the Data Team within the BI division in Reading. You will design and improve SAC stories, dashboards and reporting solutions, translating business needs into user-friendly SAC outputs for strategic decision-making.

Collaborating with SAC and Power BI developers and Data Engineering, you will drive continuous improvement, maintain SAC artefacts, and ensure robust data structures, calculations and visuals across

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on SAP Analytics Cloud experience (modelling, data blending, calculations).
• Proficiency with live and acquired data sources.
• BW/4HANA querying experience.
• Strong ETL and data warehousing understanding.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining enterprise dashboards.
• Analytical and modelling skills within SAC.
• Experience delivering analytics in Agile/continuous delivery environments.
• Experience communicating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design SAC stories with stakeholders to realise product owner vision.
• Translate requirements into SAC reporting solutions with user focus.
• Collaborate with SAC, Power BI developers and Data Engineering to deliver dashboards.
• Improve SAC reporting capabilities, templates and dashboards.
• Maintain portfolio of SAC artefacts (models and stories) ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Ensure SAC solutions have robust data structures, calculations and visuals.
• Identify opportunities to improve SAC solutions and user experience.
• Support development and optimisation of SAC reporting capabilities across the organisation.
• Address incidents and provide support for production SAC stories.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues across SAC models, data sources and calculations.
• Work with Data Engineering to resolve data and integration issues.
• Provide guidance and training to end users and stakeholders.
