Job summary

Lead Forensics is hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a section of the engineering department in delivering customer-facing products. You will own performance management, people development, and recruitment while fostering a high-trust, collaborative engineering culture.

A strong hands-on background in modern stacks and security practices is required. The ideal candidate has extensive SaaS experience, a solid command of DevOps, SOLID principles, and the ability to mentor engineers and

Qualifications

• Significant SaaS development experience with clean code, SOLID principles and design patterns, and team-building.
• Experience monitoring engineering performance and driving continuous improvement.
• Strong aptitude for programming and problem solving.
• Hands-on software engineering background with mature DevOps practices and ability to dive into code when required.
• Experience with automated testing and quality assurance.
• Understanding of building scalable systems and secure software.

Responsibilities

• Performance management: set, monitor, and evaluate developer metrics and ensure productivity and quality.
• People management: line manage a section of the engineering department, mentor developers, conduct 1:1s and reviews.
• Recruitment and retention: support interviewing, talent planning, and retention initiatives.
• Culture and engagement: promote a high-trust, high-collaboration culture and model company values.
