Restructuring & Insolvency Lawyer | Senior/Principal Associate | Leading National Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working Available

BCL Legal is pleased to be partnering with a highly respected national law firm on the recruitment of a Senior or Principal Associate to join its specialist non-contentious Restructuring & Insolvency team, based in Birmingham. This is a unique opportunity to step into a market-facing role within a close-knit team that is embedded in the firm's broader, top-tier Banking & Finance practice.

The Role
This is a strategic hire within a high-performing Restructuring & Insolvency team, which advises a wide range of stakeholders including:

-Insolvency practitioners
-Lenders and debt funds
-Company directors and boards
-Corporate borrowers and investors

You'll work on a broad range of complex and high-value assignments, including:
-Pre-pack administrations and other insolvency transactions
-Debt advisory and distressed lending matters
-Board advisory work (including duties in distress)
-Contingency planning, security reviews and enforcement strategy
-Voluntary liquidations, dissolutions, and restructurings

You'll also collaborate closely with the firm's market-leading pensions and dispute resolution teams on integrated, cross-practice mandates.

The Candidate

-Be a qualified solicitor with significant non-contentious Restructuring & Insolvency experience
-Have demonstrable experience advising lenders, IPs, and corporate stakeholders
-Be confident handling security reviews, enforcement, standstills, waivers, and insolvency processes
-Be technically strong, with excellent knowledge of insolvency law and distressed finance
-Enjoy business development and be active in the local or national restructuring market
-Be looking to develop your long-term career within a well-supported and progressive firm
