Are you a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse seeking an enriching career in a bustling hospital setting? The client is thrilled to announce an opening for a passionate RVN to join their dynamic team in their 24-hour hospital.

More About the Practice:

The practice is an RCVS-accredited facility committed to delivering the highest standard of care to its patients. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a fully stocked in-house laboratory, the hospital caters to a wide variety of clinical interests and expertise. The team comprises certificate holders and professionals passionate about veterinary medicine. The practice offers referral services for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics. They run a full-out-of-hours team alongside their day team at the hospital, ensuring comprehensive care at all times.

The Role:

The role promises a varied caseload, with both emergency and advanced medical cases referred from their five branch practices and local practices that they support.

The position is full-time, with a 4-day work week and 1:8 weekends, with Monday off in lieu.

An in-house OOH team is available for handover.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is experienced in a hospital environment and confident in managing a range of medical and surgical cases.

They possess exceptional nursing and communication skills, a passion for animal welfare, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to pets and their owners.

Strong organisational and multitasking skills are crucial, along with the ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

The practice offers an attractive range of benefits including a salary ranging from £31,000 - £34,000 p/a based on experience, 6 weeks holiday per year including Bank Holidays, the opportunity to buy and sell holiday, enhanced sick, maternity, and paternity pay, RCVS and VDS fees coverage plus one other subscription, £600 towards CPD and 3 days leave, employee discount, pension scheme, and Health Shield Scheme.
