Job summary

Fractile is building a new Rust engineering team from scratch to create a full AI inference stack in Rust, tuned to our hardware. You will write a Linux kernel driver in Rust and develop cloud-based tooling for data centre deployments, collaborating with hardware engineers in a true co-design loop from day one.

You will help shape the architecture, direction, and engineering culture of the team, shaping the software stack for cutting-edge AI workloads and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• Solid computer science foundations.
• Ability to read unfamiliar code quickly and understand it.
• Experience with low-latency or real-time processing is a plus.
• Open-source Rust projects or personal Rust work appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Build a reference AI inference stack in Rust.
• Write a Linux kernel driver in Rust.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers in a co-design loop and shape team direction.
