What will you do?

Play and test games thoroughly. Be proactive and meticulous in identifying linguistic bugs and report them using bug databases. Clear communication in English is essential for effective collaboration across global teams.

What would you do at work?

• Ensure games and applications provide the best user experience by being free of linguistic bugs.
• Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy, correctness, and cultural appropriateness.
• Follow Universally Speaking's LQA processes and standards, which are industry-leading.
• Use bug databases to write detailed reports that highlight your expertise and dedication.
• Take ownership of bugs to ensure they are fixed and implemented correctly.
• Become an LQA expert across various projects and areas of specialization.
• Create, manage, and execute test cases throughout the project lifecycle, including documenting testing practices and reporting methods.
• Participate in gathering test requirements with developers to support comprehensive testing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with the QA team effectively.

• Team collaboration and communication skills.
• Continuous learning and improvement in LQA workflows and techniques.

Requirements

You are a great match if you:

• Are an expert in Russian.
• Have proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Are passionate about video games.
• Are a team player, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Are proactive, persistent, and enthusiastic.
• Have a keen eye for detail and focus on quality.
• Are proficient with computers, including MS Office Suite, database handling, and record keeping.
• Have the Right to Work in the UK.

It’s really useful if you have some of the following skills, but if not, we can teach you:

• Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
• Experience with LQA software tools, including test case management and text editing tools.
• Knowledge of CAT tools (e.g., MemoQ).
• Understanding of the video game industry and current trends.
• Higher degree in linguistics (desirable but not essential).
