Job description

Rural Surveyor / Land Agent - South Wales
Hybrid Working | Flexible Hours | Competitive Salary

I'm working with a highly respected, multi-disciplinary General Practice firm based in South Wales to find an experienced Rural Surveyor / Land Agent to join their established Land team. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a practical mindset to work on high-level, commercially focused land matters.

About the Company:
With offices in the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff and a team of around 25 professionals, this firm covers residential sales, commercial property, valuations & surveys, and land.

The Role:
You'll be joining a commercially oriented land practice - no livestock markets or grant paperwork here. Instead, the work focuses on:

  • Farm Business Tenancies - including legislation and compliance
  • Renewable Energy - managing landlord interests in long-term lease agreements
  • Utility Claims & Telecoms - lease renewals, compensation, and enforcement
  • Development Land - assisting on options and planning strategy
  • Valuation Support - working alongside a MRICS-qualified team
  • General Land Issues - rights of way, covenants, and more

The MD remains actively involved and client-facing but is looking to delegate significant responsibility to someone with the right knowledge, professionalism, and independence.

What They're Looking For:

  • A capable, confident individual who can manage cases from start to finish
  • Strong understanding of land-related legislation and commercial awareness
  • Someone who values quality of work over hierarchy - the culture here is flat, supportive, and focused on mutual respect

What's on Offer:

  • Flexible working - full-time or part-time considered
  • A true hybrid setup - office hub with full home-working capability
  • Competitive salary based on experience and value
  • A genuinely rewarding role with autonomy and long-term potential

If you're a rural surveyor or land professional looking for a role with high-quality work, and flexibility that fits your life - this is one to explore.

Your application will be dealt with in the strictest confidence by Dan Cole. Please call our office on 07443 880 834 or alternatively send your CV (at this stage do not worry if it's not up-to-date) directly to dan.cole@beachbaker.co.uk
