Rural Surveyor

Location: Shipston on Stour

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a unique firm of Chartered Surveyors, Valuers and Estate Agents in their search for a Rural Surveyor. With regional offices from the Midland Counties and Cotswolds, they have extensive local knowledge and business experience. The company has strong relationships with local professional firms and plays a pivotal role in the communities that it serves with over 200 staff and consultants working out of 14 offices.

Candidates are required to have:

RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor

  • Registered Valuer and FAAV, preferred, but not essential (support can be given for these qualifications).
  • Be commercially astute, understanding the importance of business targets and their impact to the practice
  • Have a commitment to providing an excellent standard of client care
  • Be IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages
  • Pro-active and business minded
  • Be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Strong organisation skills - able to prioritise own time and workload
  • Ability to work well on their own and as part of a Team

  • Estate and Property Management

  • Valuations, Taxation and Succession planning
  • Landlord and Tenant, preparation of Farm Business Tenancies, Grazing Licences and Contract Farming Agreements
  • Advising clients on Agri-environmental Schemes and Grants
  • Land and Property Sales, and Acquisitions
  • Utility and Infrastructure Compensation Claims
  • Renewable energy and Woodland Management
