Founded over a century ago, this consultancy specialises in rural property management and development, encompassing land management, sporting and forestry management, estate agency, and utility work. Dedicated to maintaining the highest industry standards, they also focus on team development, creating a collaborative and welcoming work environment. With multiple offices across Scotland and the North of England, they are now looking to appoint a Rural Surveyor, based from their Ayr, Perth or Aberdeen office.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Client visits and meetings across the region
  • Advising on land rights and helping to secure them
  • Assisting with compensation claims (rural and utilities)
  • Valuation for renewable energy projects
  • Digital mapping and land referencing
  • Regular client and internal meetings to ensure all stakeholders are updated frequently.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role as a Land Agent / Rural Surveyor
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car
  • Chartered Surveyor, plus Registered Valuer preferred
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written, and in-person with client meetings
  • Digital mapping experience is desirable
  • Experience in rural activities such as farming or forestry is desirable.
