Job summary

Risdons Solicitors in Dulverton, Somerset, is seeking an experienced residential conveyancing solicitor to join our busy property team. You will manage a full caseload including sales, purchases, new build, transfers of equity, and rural property matters from instruction to completion.

You will provide clear legal advice, conduct title checks, prepare contracts, liaise with clients, lenders and other solicitors, and ensure compliance with SRA, AML and CQS requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with residential conveyancing experience.
• Minimum 3+ years post-qualification experience in residential property law.
• Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process and associated legislation.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced rural setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of residential property transactions from initial instruction to completion.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice on conveyancing issues to clients.
• Conduct title checks, prepare and review contracts, and manage exchange and completion.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, SRA regulations and CQS requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date case records using a case management system.
• Deliver excellent client care and build strong client relationships.
• Identify and mitigate risks in line with firm policies.
