  • The Rugby Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational aspects of Hartpury Rugby, ensuring the smooth running of all activities related to training, match days, player welfare, logistics, team development and administration.
  • You will be promoting a strong team culture, fostering teamwork and driving excellence to uphold the high standards of Hartpury Rugby.
  • The role is essential to the operational success and high-performance environment to ensure logistical, performance and welfare needs are met.
  • The role ensures that both students, players and staff are fully supported, and operational procedures align with the standards and goals. This is a key position that helps maintain the professional and high-performance environment at Hartpury.

About You

  • Proven experience in a similar role of operations management, within professional rugby/ sports/education or a high-performance/professional team environment.
  • Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good knowledge of financial control and managing budgets.
  • Proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with operational systems, data management tools and media, commercial and community engagement strategies together with relevant sports management software.
  • A passion for rugby and understanding of team dynamics.
  • Leadership capability with a collaborative approach.
  • Strategic thinker who can drive initiatives and influence stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to upholding the sports academy/rugby’s standards of excellence.
  • A relevant degree or qualification in Sports Management, Rugby or related field, would be desirable.
