Ruby Software Engineer - Liverpool (Hybrid) - £70,000 + bonus

The Company: Lorien Global is working with a forward-thinking technology team based in central Liverpool that builds modern, cloud-native software solutions within a collaborative, Agile environment. The team focuses on quality, continuous improvement, and engineering best practices to evolve professional services delivery through technology.

The Role: As a Software Engineer, you'll help develop scalable, secure, and high-performing software within a modern cloud ecosystem. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners and Testers to design and build robust solutions from scratch. Your responsibilities include translating user stories into maintainable code, deploying infrastructure as code (IaC), and participating in Agile ceremonies. This role offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects, improve delivery processes, and influence technical direction across services.

The Requirements:

• Strong experience with Ruby and solid knowledge of software engineering principles
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
• Understanding of Agile practices, SOLID principles, and event-driven architecture
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Self-motivated with a focus on clean, scalable, and testable code
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
