Job summary

New Route Recruitment Limited in London is building a marketplace to help families find high quality, flexible childcare. As an engineer on the team, you’ll design and build tech to solve complex matching problems, giving families and nannies a solution that just works and speeding up nanny recruitment and training processes.

The stack includes Ruby on Rails for the backend, PostgreSQL and Redis, with ES6 frontend tooling and Tachyons.

Qualifications

• Experience with web application development.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to write readable, well-tested code.
• Willingness to pair program when appropriate and participate in code reviews.
• Comfort with a fast-moving startup culture and learning on the go.

Responsibilities

• Design and build tech to solve complex matching problems for families and nannies.
• Contribute to recruitment and training processes to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with product and operations to deliver value quickly.
